I am breaking my mini sabbatical of not writing to post about heartandseoul – a shop that’s minimalist in design for everyday Korean drama fans. At this Etsy-like store for independent artists, Elisabeth Baum has created several designs with the most common Korean phrases you’d hear in a K-drama. She then adds her quirky designs to everyday objects – from mugs to pillow cases, clocks to even clothing! Take a look at some of her stuff!
It’s really awesome that every winner of the DramaFever awards managed to send a message through video to their fans, and a lot more came in person to pick up the awards! George Hu and Arden Cho did a great job hosting, although I feel that Arden was more on point with the hosting duties than he was. That’s not to say that their jokes and overly-forced flirting was not amusing. Poor Arden, George Hu was just not up to doing the Pinocchio toast kiss!
The 3rd Annual DramaFever Awards was such a BLAST! It was really fun seeing the stars arrive on the red carpet and then watching them live on stage. I was sitting near the back of the orchestra level so I still had a great view of the stage, and felt so close to the stars. I could have sworn Lee Tae Hwan was looking at me!
It’s a new year, and a new awards season! Okay, I have to admit I haven’t really been following the Academy Awards/Golden Globes/SAG awards in the States, though I hear about snubs and lucky nominees. (The Lego Movie – how could thou be snubt!?) In any case, it’s a busy time for dramas too! And I’m happy to say that I’m attending the DramaFever Awards again!
Our 229th Running Man adventure starts with guest Lee Seung Gi getting his very own spy mission. He is to eliminate all the members and guest Moon Chae Won in secret – a classic Running Man spy mission. But he won’t be alone – famed grump Lee Seo Jin will be joining him to complete the mission. True to form, Seo Jin doesn’t seem to be too thrilled about it, and suggests that Seung Gi eliminate him first. They will only be able to eliminate the other members when the two spies are together, but if anyone else catches on, they will fail the mission.
After an unplanned hiatus, Kaedejun’s Running Man coverage is back for a fresh start in 2015! I won’t call it a resolution, because I have a history of not keeping those, but I am fully planning on forging forward with recaps this year. To bridge the gap a little from my last Running Man recap this past fall, I’ll just say that I think the show has been having a really great past couple of months. 2014 started with a lot of cooking-related shows that were fun for the first time or two, then had me wondering if the show was taking a turn for the more tame concepts. Then around the second half of the year, the showhad a marked return to classic Running Man style and it’s been a blast!
