Lee Byung Hoon’s younger sisterLee Eun Hee is getting married in November! The former Miss Korea and child actress is marrying her boyfriend of about 4 years. She used to be in the entertainment industry but took a backseat. Now she’s becoming more and more noticeable due to her brother’s fame, and works as a broadcaster now.
The date hasn’t been set yet, and her brother’s filming schedule will be taken into consideration (as he’s going to be in “G.I. Joe 2”).
I don’t think they look anything alike – in fact, she looks mixed!
Seo Hyo Rim (who was last seen in Sungkyunkwan Scandal as Jun Tae Soo‘s silly younger sister who was in love with Micky Yoochun) will take a dramatic turn as she joins the cast of Scent of a Woman. The drama, which also stars Kim Sun Ah, Lee Dong Wook, and Uhm Ki Joon, will air on July 16. Seo’s character is a cold-hearted chaebol heiress (OOH – hey! It’s not a cold-hearted chaebol MAN, but a WOMAN!) who has had her heart broken after willing to give up her entire wealth to be with this man.
New stills of Park Shin Hye and So Yi Hyun have been released from the drama Heartstrings. Park Shin Hye is shown with her gayageum, the traditional Korean instrument that she’s supposedly a master at. Park had practiced it so much that her fingers blistered, but she showed the dedication that her character supposedly has towards traditional Korean music.
Finally! A photo of Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye together! The two of them were labeled as a “perfect spring couple” from this photograph. I find the dynamic in this photo already quite interesting. Clearly, Park Shin Hye’s Lee Kyu Won is the studious one. Clearly, Jung Yong Hwa’s Lee Shin is not.
The article stated that when the two of them became their characters in front of the camera, they were awkward at first. Eventually, they became comfortable around each other and developed a good atmosphere on set. I’m surprised to see that statement since I thought they got on famously during shooting of You’re Beautiful. But perhaps it’s because that drama was two years ago (already!?) and I’m sure they’ve changed a lot during this time – what with Jung going big time with CN Blue and she going to Taiwanese dramas and finishing up school. Or, it could just be that their characters are awkward around each other at first… but I don’t think that’s what the article meant.
But anyways – can’t wait to see these two onscreen!
Here’s a still of Park Shin Hye on campus on the set of Heartstrings!
The actress was praised for her simple beauty and cute haircut (which I must say is a nicer version of her Go Minam hair). Her image lent itself to her bright character, Lee Kyu Won, who attends the art school studying traditional Korean instruments. My only concern is for her skirt – she pulls it off, but don’t long skirts dwarf a short person? Anyways – at least she wears it better than me, so who am I to judge?
Next photo I want to see: Jung Yong Hwa making googly eyes at So Yi Hyun.
Heartstrings/Festival/You’ve Fallen for Me airs on June 29.
The shot is from Rain’s new film “Red Muffler,” which has now changed its title to “Take Off: Closer to the Sun.” What a cheesy title. I wonder if the people behind the film are trying to tie it in to the other film called “Take Off,” the 2009 movie about a ski jumping team for the Olympics, starring Ha Jung Woo and Kim Ji Suk. That sports film was a hit.
Anyways – thoughts of “Top Gun” filled my mind after seeing the photo, which might be a good thing for the film in general – but it’s not going to make me want to see it. I’m a Tom Cruise-averse person.
Festival aka You’ve Fallen For Me is now Heartstrings! It was a user-generated title done through a poll at DramaFever, and the top ten titles were sent over to the production company. The winning title among users was I’m With Stupid, as an allusion to Jung Yong Hwa‘s band called “The Stupid.” Honestly Korea, you and your Engrish. Don’t think that a band called “Stupid” is really going to be taken seriously, even if Jung is in it, because everyone’s going to call them “Stupid.”
The rehearsal reading for upcoming musical school drama You’ve Fallen for Me has begun! Park Shin Hye, Jung Yong Hwa, Song Chang Ui, So Yi Hyun, Kang Min Hyuk, and Woori participated. Hopefully everyone’s acting chops is much improved. (I’m leaving Song and So out of that last statement though, because they got acting chops.)
