Something’s up when media outlets are reporting on UEE’s killer legs that were showcased in a recent episode of Birdie Buddy. Guys – we get it. She’s got the legs in town. We know you have nothing better to do but ogle at her legs. Stop writing about it.

*does some more squats*

Oh and Birdie Buddy got one of its highest ratings so far – 1.23% on AGB. Which is high by the way for a cable channel.

A Spate of Car Accidents Plague Actors

Really, almost every other day, someone’s had a car accident. I’m sure the current weather in Korea isn’t helping, as it is the rainy season, and even if you drive carefully, you can still end up skidding. But still…can we get no-skid tires and alert drivers for these people!?

Yoo Seung Ho is the latest actor to get in a car accident.

Scent of a Woman is airing this weekend! Kim Sun Ah mentioned in an interview that she lost a lot of weight for the role because she was playing someone who was dying. She ate rice once a day, and slept for only 2 hours a day. I’m not surprised that she is so devoted to her role, since she gained weight for My Lovely Sam Soon and now is losing weight for a role. But funnily enough, she also says, “I wish (the director) focused more on the drama’s story rather than my outer appearance.”

Um. Should I be worried about the drama plot then?

Can I take a moment to say I just saw “Tangled” (the Disney movie) and it was AWESOMEEEEEE. It makes me love Zachary Levi even more – and helps alleviate the “Chuck”-withdrawal. Sigh* It makes me all wish I were a princess again, and that some guy out there will fall in love with me just for who I am. Plus, it’d be great if I had awesome hair to use as rope/whip/anything I need it to be.

*Slap cheeks* – back to reality.

Above is Gummy’s new music video for her single “Love Recipe.” The song is soulful with a nice beat, although her chorus part reminds me of Janet Jackson‘s “Doesn’t Really Matter” (the chorus part too). It’s not the same at all, but similar enough in beats to make me think of it. It features Gummy with a dog, and it’s almost like a love song to her dog – except at the end of it, the dog leaves her, and she steps on a puddle of water or pee. Kinda like a man – she loved him, he left, and she was left with his shit.

Lee Seung Gi appeared in a Japanese show SMAPxSMAP, which is a variety show that features a cooking segment (where members of the group SMAP cook for the guests), a skits/performances segment, and a musical performance. He appeared in a skit and was praised for his natural acting – despite it all being in Japanese.

Daesung from Big Bang was involved in a car accident! He was apparently speeding down a highway (though definitely not intoxicated) and hit a taxi that had stopped in the middle of the road. The taxi had been trying to avoid a fallen motorcyclist, and the driver had stopped to check the motorcyclist’s condition. That’s when Daesung’s car hit him. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene, but it hasn’t been confirmed whether it was due to a previous accident, an accident with the taxi driver, or an accident caused by Daesung. That conclusion will have to wait for the autopsy.

Either way, the lovable member of Big Bang is in trouble for speeding.

An Interview with Big Bang

I am sooooo addicted to Big Bang’s latest singles – especially “What is Right” because it has enough of a funky and happy vibe to it that makes it catchy. After reading their interview, I now want to go back and listen to that and “Tonight” with a more analytical ear.

And so what follows is an excerpt of their interview with asiae.

Their parody of Secret Garden included!

Aww – isn’t this cute? Lee Seung Gi and Shin Min Ah appeared in variety show “Strong Heart” to help promote My Girlfriend is a Gumiho.

Aiii! I really can’t wait for this drama to air!

In other casting news though, producers are still looking for someone to replace Park Yong Ha in the drama Tian Mi Mi or Comrades, a Love Story. They are looking for someone who is a close colleague to Park as a way to pay some homage to him; they also believe that only a close colleague would be best suited for the role. That leaves Won Bin, So Ji Sub, and Ryu Si Won as top contenders. Though So Ji Sub is like a real brother no doubt, he’s already in Road No. 1 and I think one more drama would lead to overexposure in a bad way. (After all, Road No. 1 isn’t a ratings hit either.) I’d really like Won Bin to be cast, but they can always pull something like the movie “The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus,” where Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell took over Heath Ledger’s role after Ledger’s premature death. Yoon Eun Hye is still signed on for the drama.
