Kim Nam Joo’s sequel-drama Queen of Tears has been retitled Queen of Reversals, which is more fitting because though she’s starring in this drama, it’s not a direct sequel to Queen of Housewives. This time, she’s going to be the daughter of a chaebol. (Reversal of life situation, most def.) It’s also probably because they couldn’t get the entire cast back on track, but the drama is trying to get Jung Joon Ho (IRIS, Last Scandal) and Park Ye Jin (Queen Seon Deok). Queen of Reversals will also be going up against ATHENA in time slot, which her husband will be starring in as well. Hm – totally different genre dramas in competing broadcasting stations. Wonder what will win? Before, the more melodramatic ones usually won ratings wise – IRIS vs. You’re Beautiful, Cinderella’s Sister vs. Personal Taste/Prosecutor Princess (although PT did quite well too, but it wasn’t first place).
Lee Soon Jae (Coffee House, Unstoppable High Kick) is joining the cast of the much-troubled drama Daemul. He will star as the current president who will then pass the title to Go Hyun Jung.
The poster to Sungkyunkwan Scandal makes this sort-of-historical drama much more modern, and more comedic. It held another press conference dressed in full costume a month before its premiere date (it will show after Gumiho: Tale of the Fox Child). Micky Yoochun, Park Min Young, Seo Hyo Rim, Yoo Ah In, and Song Joong Ki were in attendance.
2NE1 is gettin’ big! They’re getting ready to debut in the States with the help of Will.i.Am from the Black Eyed Peas. They recorded ten songs in three weeks between London and Los Angeles. There’s no set date for their U.S. debut yet, since the group is also preparing for a Japanese debut early next year. However, instead of doing the “Wonder Girls” – YG Entertainment is going to try to promote the group from Korea rather than send them to stay in the States for a long period of time. Wonder how that will work out… as in, whether the girls can make a big impact or not.
Song Seung Hoon was involved in a relationship with Son Dambi – SUPPOSEDLY. It’s all rumors, as he made a statement that the rumors are untrue. But Song doesn’t mind it too much himself since Son Dambi is “considered the sexiest singer in Korea” – in his own words. SOOOOO…. but I still find it highly unlikely.
Now that Kim Hyun Joong is part of KEYEAST, he will take part in a Japanese project called “Miso Project” with Bae Yong Joon, which aims to help children in Cambodia and Philippines.
